And with the availability of Bondo transfers and small silicone pieces, they are accessible for even the most basic applications.

This look is very subtle and simple to achieve.

Fine Bondo transfers were applied, trying to avoid high-movements areas which add stress to the Bondo.

After application is complete, a quick spray of Satin Sealer helped to keep things in place all day.

Step 1: Transfer Scars

Fine bondo transfers, made in-house. Applied directly from the mould with a quick wash of alcohol to make those edges schmick!

Step 2: Gore Palette

Beetroot for broader washes of colour and Dried Blood for specific details.

Step 3: Satin Spray

A quick spray to lock in the look.

Post-surgical scar and swelling

This look was really aided by the fact that the actor agreed to shave their head!

It gave clean access to create the effect of post-surgical scaring, which was a flat-mould silicone prosthetic.

Also applied were two silicone prosthetic pieces to create swelling to the eye area.

Step 1: Silicone Prosthetics

Like most prosthetics makeups, the application of the pieces came first. Edges are critical, especially on skin with so little texture.

Step 2: Triage Palette

With the prosthetics applied, the fun begins! Colouring was done completely from the Bluebird Triage Palette. Every colour from the Palette was used, from the dark Aubergine in the centre of the bruise, through to the yellow (Sunflower) around the scaring.

Additional Information

A special mention goes to the amazing effect Ve's Texture 3 brush gave for this makeup really nice colour depth and graduation.
